Ina Garden is a famous American book author, who has won Emmy awards. She hosts the most popular Food Network show Barefoot Contessa. The series began in 2002. It is scheduled to air for another 27 years. Ina began her career in writing nuclear energy policies and budgets for the White House. Though she found the career interesting initially, she eventually stopped her pursuit and decided to purchase a smaller specialty food store - Barefoot Contessa. After nearly 18 years of making the store a huge success, she sold it and began writing her first book. Numerous other books as well as newspaper articles were published. A different hit was her Food Network Television show. Also, Ina sells products ranging from food ingredients to storage containers and equipment. Ina is a self-taught cook who has not been to a cooking class, nor employed in an kitchen. Her name is associated with her casual way of cooking and entertaining.
