Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American Canadian singer and songwriter. She has released more than 20 albums. DiFranco's songs are classified as alternative and folk. But, they incorporate elements of hip-hop, jazz, and punk. Ani Difranco has been deemed to be a feminist hero and Grammy award-winning. As one of first female artists in the 1990s, DiFranco created her own label. DiFranco was a born on 23rd September 1970 in Buffalo New York. Her parents were Elizabeth (Ross), from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Dante Americo DiFranco. Her father was Italian heritage and her mother came born in Montreal. Ani diFranco composed and sang the song 32 Flavors. The track was released on her album Not a Pretty Girl which came out in 1995. A variation of the song appears on the movie soundtrack of 1999's Canadian love story Better Than Chocolate. DiFranco apologized for holding a conference in Louisiana at an old plantation for slaves. While she had to cancel the workshop, many people (including the authors of our article) did not see any regret. DiFranco released an apology only a few days after. Little Folksinger is an artist who has performed with a variety of artists, including Pete Seeger, Chuck D and Prince. The place she lives is New Orleans. Ani DiFranco lives with Kristen Ford. At 14, she began to write her own music. They continued to be performed at coffee houses and bars throughout her teenage years. DiFranco began attending courses at Buffalo State College at age 16, after she graduated from Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts.
