Lita Rossana Ford popularly known as Lita Ford is a British American singer-songwriter, guitarist and vocalist who played lead guitar of the all-girl rock group The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their punkish sound and rebellious lyrics made them popular in the rock world. The group did not have much of a following within their home country of the United States. However, the group's popularity increased abroad and especially in Japan. Ford enjoyed a lengthy and prosperous career as a heavy-metal solo musician after the group broke up from 1979. After taking lessons in singing, she released her solo debut album, called 'Out for Blood'. This was followed by the release of 'Dancin on the Edge'. Ford was unable to achieve any success with either record and remained out of the realm of rock for around 10 years. In 1988, she came back to the scene with an amazing album titled "Lita. Kiss Me Deadly (single) as well as Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were among her most popular hits. However, the success of her career was not lasting and over the course of several years, she was absent. In 1995 she debuted 'Black' and 15 years later 'Wicked Wonderland. The year 2016 brought the release of her latest studio album "Time Capsule". Guitar Player Magazine presented her with the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend Award.
