Cecily Legler Strong is a well-known American stand-up comedian and actor known as a well-known part of the cast on 'Saturday night Live'. Her stage career started in the theatre and she found herself attracted to comedy after she took an improv workshop at 9 years old. She had a dream of making acting a living, but quickly realized she was meant for comedy and changed her focus towards improvised performances. Her first gig was on cruise ships alongside fellow performers from Second City Conservatory and iO Chicago. Strong was a regular at events such as Chicago Sketch Fest and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She also appeared with Virgin Daiquiri - an all-female troupe - as well New York Sketchfest. She made it big in 2012 when she debuted on "Saturday Night Live" in the 39th season as a cast member who was featured co-anchoring for the Weekend Update segment first with Seth Meyers and later with Colin Jost. The most memorable moment for Cecily was her performance as the character of 'The girl who you would have preferred not to start an argument with at a party'. The same year, she also had her first film debut in the short film "How to Sponsor an Uterus'. She criticized how women are treated as just bikini models or girlfriends in Hollywood movies instead of strong female protagonists. Cecily Cecily Tracy Tracy
